  1. yes. but get the action replay max with freeloader (wii). instead, its better and wont mess up the wii. its not out yet the first one will come out some time in February. but theirs a AR media player for videos and stuff. www.codejunkies.com I have them for my GC and PS2, they work perfectly.
  2. Ninja's suggestion is a modchip alternative (freeloader). Freeloader is a softmod that tricks the Wii into letting games from any region (and homebrew) to work, just like a modchip. The main advantage to modchips is they can be used to do hardware mods without the console refusing to work, and you can install a custom OS. Some say modchips are illegal, but there are conflicting laws. Under the DMCA, modchips are illegal in the USA, but INTERNATIONAL free trade laws say they MUST BE LEGAL. Employing regional lockout is illegal under that law, therefore it is legal to mod for that purpose (Australia seems to be the one place where they realized that). Companies are lucky the WTO (and other trade organizations) doesn't enforce their law in the US.
  3. i wouldn't mod or buy things like action replays for the wii. the wii updates once in a while and the updates sometimes contain things ment to block action replays. you don't need to install the updates but some games require you to install the updates or may install them for you. it would suck to buy a 30-40 dollar action replay for it to stop working unless it updated too to counter the new wii update.
