hot mod wii without chip wii?
hey guys im just wondering about softmodding my wii i got this link http://www.ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=48652 and it seem pretty cool what im asking has anybody done this and can i buy a 8gb sd card and load all roms and emulators from all the classic consoles snes nes megadrive and mastersystym and leave them in my wii and play help would be great please look at the link and you know wat im on bout if this works proper with the 8gb the wii will be the best console ever thanks

- 1. The Wii will not take an SD card with a capacity over 2 GB. They just don't work, trust me. 2. Modding your Wii in any way will cause it to malfunction bigtime and lock up any time you try to download any sort of update. This is why you get a warning about it any time the system tries to update. Nintendo will detect that the system has been modded and automatically "brick" it, rendering it useless. So you'd be pretty much screwed that way. 3. No you cannot load emulators for other consoles onto the Wii since it does not have the programming to take it and wouldn't know what to do with it. You would have to custom-program your own Wii channel to work with it, and then assign the controls to work with the emulator. 4. It's just illegal and so wrong on so, so many levels.... don't bother. It's going to cost you more to replace your Wii than it would to just buy all of those titles on Virtual Console.
- the dude on top of me doesnt know about the wii very much as i can see its not possible to soft mod the wii as they havent been able to hack it completely 4gb and 8gb dont werk on the wii only less than 2 gb modding it does not malfunction it why i have 1 its modded theres nothing wrong with if its the first generation wiis,it can be modded with a wiikey 2nd generation wiis can be modded with a d2cky or argon keys trust me the dude on top of me does not know what he's talking about
