1. It is probably a defective Wii. You should call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700, and tell them this problem. They will tell you what the problem is and if you need to repair your Wii.
2. I dont think its a fault. Mine was the same when I got it and I had to get my husband to sort it and it took him a while but he did it. Have you got a friend who is into set up stuff like pc's etc?
3. You must have a wireless internet connection or Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector to connect wirelessly. To connect using a wired connection, check your Wii Manual. If you have a wireless internet connection, on the main menu go to Wii settings (bottom left hand corner). Then select Wii settings again. Then go to page 2 then select internet. For more help go to page 51 in your Wii operations manual.
