Will a Wii mod-chip suddenly stop working for some reason, how can i fix it?

1. It will usually stop working if you try to perform a system update. Also, certain games come with mandatory updates so they can perform correctly, so you're limiting you choice of games to play.
2. well, if your connected to the internet then it will stop working pretty quickly, also certain games will disable it. i think your first mistake was getting your wii chipped. your lucky your wii still works properly.
3. It would depend on the modchip. If it stops working, it's probably due to a solder job that came loose. Talk to your modder or check the connections yourself.
4. i dont agree with the first 2 answers it all depends on what modchip you select if u choose wiikey no game or update can possibly make it so dat it dont work many modchips work even with wii updates i for 1 have had a wii modded for almost a year i have firmware 2.0 now i have 3.1 and the modchip srtill works i agree with the person on top of me i dont like it though when poeple talk about stuff they dont know but yeah it will still work
