Can a Wii Mod chip allow the ability to play American games on the Japanese Wii?
Well, I couldn't find any Wii's in any stores. So, my parents have a friend who lives in Japan, and they wired the money to them to buy two Wii's: one for me, and one for a friend. But, they (more of my mom) didn't know that the Japanese Wii console couldn't play American games. And we can't read Japanese!! So, will a Mod Chip make the Japanese Wii console allowed to play American games?

- LOL! My mom was about to do the same thing for me for Christmas but I luckily found out and stopped her. I believe you can. You can get a chip that enables you to play Japanese games on the American wii. One of my good friend has some random anime game from Japan and he can play it because of some chip. You just have to buy a special screwdriver to pop open your wii: SEE www.playasia.com for the tri wing screwdriver and then get a modchip (also avaliable at playasia.com that is about 49-59 USD. ) HOPE THIS HELPED!
