Are wii sales gonna drop?
I see that most games that are announced to be released, are being mostly announced for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I know that this is because the wii is much behind them techically, and new games want to impress more than anything. The question is: are childish and motion-sensitive games and first party titles gonna save the wii for long, or are its sales gonna drop, and it'll be a short-lived hit, while the ps3, even though it isn't very popular right now, will live for a much longer time? Or is nintendo going to quickly release a newer console, with wii features, but much better tech stuff? Give me your thoughts.

- somehow i doubt it, in canada people had to fight to the death to get a wii. mosty of the games being created are for the PS3 but there are still some going for the wii so it might falter but i think they might develop bigger and better things
- Actually, the part you said about Nintendo releasing a new console is fairly certain.. although not for awhile still though of course. The Wii will hang in there.. it still has alot of fun value, some unique games, and really good web browser. The Wii controls, even for regular games like shooters, are very good. Technically they will be coming out with a new version of the Wii... which will come in different colors and likely support DVD play back. Their next console, Nintendo already confirmed, will be HD. The concensus is that the Wii will do fine but Nintendo will want to release a new console once HD is more of the norm. Playstation 3 however is so powerful that they won't need a new console for a much longer while. Essentially the PS3 will still compete with the next generation of Nintendo console.. which is still years down the line though. How the 360 and Xbox falls into the mix.. is hard to say. Wii has always been a bird of a different feather compared with the PS3 and 360 though.... many people own either a 360 or a PS3 AND a Wii. Wii's largely for an entirely different gameplay experience.
- Just because nothing has been announced doesn't mean there isn't anything in development.
- Wii hasn't had any really good titles yet, but there are some planned in the future. Nintendo will keep the Wii out though because even with that there still at a very high demand. Also, somtime real soon Rock Band will be on the Wii.
- I don't think so, it seems like it would, but I don't think it will, once super smash bros brawl comes out, people will start buying more wiis, and giving nintendo to start on a new project. I don't know what it could be, but I imagine that this is what will happen.
- If the Wii fails, Nintendo is partly to blame and 3rd party developers are party to blame. You don't need high def graphics to succeed, just as long as the games are fun. I think fun games are more important than high def games. Nintendo is party to blame should the Wii fail because it doesn't have any quality control for 3rd party developers. Any one that wants to make a game can make a game for the Wii without getting Nintendo's approval, which means that there's going to be a lot of crappy games cashing in on the success of the Wii. Third party developers need to take the blame because they still haven't found any innovative use for the Wii. It's been over a year, and the Wii-mote is still used in very similar ways, mainly as a weapon or a steering wheel. Developers need to find new ways for the Wii-mote. First party games are not going to save the Wii because Nintendo is very slow when it comes to putting out first party games. To satisfy gamers, Nintendo will need to put out a lot of games. Nintendo's major flaw is targeting casual gamers. Casual gamers may buy a lot of Wii which will benefit Nintendo, but it's not going to benefit 3rd party developers because casual gamers do not buy a lot of games. If they're not buying games, what's the point of making games for the Wii.
- of course, every thing drops in time, it won't take long.
- OK the Wii only improvment was the way playing the game by moveing ur body or wrist. The problem with Wii is that it didn't improve the graphics nor it made a hard disk nor the games arn't like the PS3 or XBOX360 games. people likes: PS3: ninja gaiden sigma, Metal gear solid 4 etc... 360: bioshock assassins creed, half life2 episode 2 etc... but most of the Wii games are for children but most gamers like violent games. So thats why the Wii charts dropped.
- I got a Wii and I think it will last long and popular.
- well if Nintendo stop making these stupid kiddie games like barbie Hannah Montana Dora play ground and high school musical the wii is fun but if they keep making these kiddie games yes sale would go down
- there are some games only out for the wii now so they will probally keep sales up if they keep making games ONLY for the wii
- I only got the wii to get Zelda when it first came out.. waited awhile heard a sonic and rings game came out it sucked. Mario Galaxy was very fun but kinda to easy at first. Other than that I'm just looking forward to getting the mario kart game and smash brothers. resdient evil 4 also great but I already owned it on the ps2
- probably
