Can you buy Wii games in the US for a console purchased in the UK?
We bought a Wii console in the UK and would like our family in the US to be able to buy games for our son for Christmas / birthday. Does anyone know if the games will work?

- Nope, the Wii is region locked, for example Japenese Wii games won't work on an American Wii.
- Mad Catz and other "accessories" vendors sell adaptors that make playing foreign software possible. However I don't know if one for the Wii exists yet. It probably will before long. The demand for it is probably high. Check the mad catz website and maybe even request the company for one.
