Can you use other games for the wii instead of just wii games?

like i heard once that you could use x box or nintendo games for the wii also. is that true?

1. no xbox or ps2 games. you can use gamecube games though, and you can download lots of other older games, like n64, super nintendo, nintendo, sega, etc.
2. No Xbox games, but there are other games that you can play. First, the Wii only recognizes GameCube and Wii discs. As for other game systems, that would be from the Virtual Console that you can buy games between 500-1200 Wii points. They have Sega, Turbographx, SNES, NES, N64. Right now, they have about 50 games. That is suppose to triple by next year. IMO, $5 for these ancient games is a bit high. It should be more like $1 or 100 poinhts. That is the going rate if you go out and buy them at Gamestop. You can buy 2000 Wii points for $20. That's a a penny per point.
3. uuhh.....no but u can download nintendo games from previous systems like snes and nintendo 64....wii also plays gamecube games
4. You can not Play XBOX games, however you can play gamecube games (with Game cube controller) and games from virtual console (with wii classic controller)
5. Why in the world would you be able to play Xbox games on it?
