  1. Unfortunately for you, there is no such thing... "Backing up" games is STILL considered to be piracy, so it's frowned upon and I don't think Nintendo (or any other videogame company will EVER allow you to run 'backups' off an un-hacked console). Maybe with the introduction of the new Nintendo Channel and WiiWare there's an opening for hackers to mod the Wii by software, but still... that means HACKING your console (voiding warranty).

  3. If its downloaded games from the shopping channel, then just put in a SD card, save the gmaes on it, and transfer them to your pc.
  4. It's not possible I'm afraid and you are right to not consider chipping your Wii. It can lead to all sorts of trouble as updates to the firmware (the software that runs in the wii when you turn it on) can stop your Wii working if it is modified. If your children damage a game perhaps it will teach them an important lesson to be careful with things because if they break it then they can't play it any more. I hope it doesn't come to that though. I would just die if one of the kids broke our Wii or the games - they are always just leaving them lying about on the sofa or the tv unit, not in the games boxes, and I love the Wii just as much as them and don't want to lose the games either! EEK!
