Looking for good family fun Nintendo Wii games?

We just got our 10 yr old a wii and we all love playing the wii sports that it came with. Does anyone have any recommendations for games similar to this, ones that require you to be active and are fun to play in groups?

  1. Wii Play is cool, though it only supports 2 Players, I think. Smarty Pants is a cool trivia game with motions involved, but the questions are probably too hard for a 10 year old. Definitely try Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. Give it a rental first, but I think you will love it. It has turn-based multiplayer and a lot of different motions. I am not fond of the Mario Party series myself, but other people seem to like it. IGN said Cranium: Kabooki is poor and you are better off getting the much cheaper board game version, they are similar enough that you will have as much fun or more, and much cheaper.
  2. Tiger woods golf, much better movement and graphics than wii sports, Bigs baseball, brain academy is fun and brain developing too.
  3. try madden or lego star wars
  4. wii play is the closed thing to the sports but marble mania and rayman are good fun games
  5. You MUST get Rayman Raving Rabbids one and two! Up to four players, best use of the wii remote I've ever seen, VERY fun, good for the whole family to play (or watch) together, humorus, and fun for all ages.
  6. Carnival Games seems to fit what you're looking for. 4 player multiplayer, all the games you play at a carnival (ring around a bottle neck, shooting out the red star, skee ball, hoop throw, etc.) -- cute graphics and easy gameplay. I also have Game Party, but the games are a little more adult (like shuffleboard and darts). Lego Star Wars is great -- only two player but easy enough for kids with just enough challenge to keep adults entertained. Not active, however.
  7. i heard cranium kabooki is pretty fun, its exactly like the boardgames if youve ever played them. oh and endless ocean is pretty laid back and kinda like animal crossing underwater. they may like mysims also, another animal crossing look alike. if all else fails, just get animal crossing for the gamecube and play it on wii, that could never go wrong.
