What are the best Nintendo Wii games for an 11 year old boy and why?
He loves WWE so I have got him that but normally he plays PS2 or PC. On those formats he likes First Person Shooters and War games e.g. Command and Conquer, Battlefield 2 etc. but are these type of games any good on the Wii console? C'mon you Gamers. He is getting a Wii for Christmas so what games.

- get him zelda twilight princess i never played it on wii but its a medival thing where to fight with swords u move the wii contollers to swipe the sword it sounds great , look for game reviews on youtube but i dont think its 1st person
- call of duty 3 it should be cheaper now thats been out for a while or maybe redblade ninja shooting game. This is non shooter but mario universe is a great game it won aklot of rewards
- Zelda wasn't at all that enjoyable it would be rather confusing for an 11 year old. I would recommend Wario Ware smooth movies. Everyone I know enjoyed playing it from little to big. Basically it just asks you to do random things with the wiimote to accomplish small rather entertaining tasks that get faster and faster and more and more challenging. I had a blast playing it and it wasnt at all too hard or too easy and I am sure he would enjoy it. No matter how weird the game seems its a lot of fun when you give it a chance. Its completely appropriate with no violence or blood though there is nose picking (like I said some parts seem kind of weird but trust me on this one).
- If he likes fps games then Call Of Duty 3, Brothers in Arms, Or Medal of Honor are pretty good games. Also Metroid Prime 3 might be a good Game to consider getting him. And Maybe Guitar Hero 3, it is really fun and addicting.
- I'm 13 but try Mario football games and Zelda and stuff like that.
- Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. Definately. It is a good FPS and would show him that strategy games can be good. He may like to try Zelda after metroid, as this is another classic, but that is more strategy and RPG based. I wouldn't get him Call of Duty, as I imagine the PC version is probably better. Also not Red Steel, as the controls for this are truly crap.
- I would say the likes of Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.
- i got my son carnival from play.com its a new release at only £14.99 its absolutely brilliant because it introduces new wii users to the unusual controllers and what they are capable of and it is briliant to play with the family for competiveness as my husband and i have been finding out when the kids are in bed and at £14.99 its not a bank buster
- The Call of Duty series is amazing as already mentioned but forget about COD 3, the fourth instalment is now out, Call Of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare, the story lines are fantastic, the graphics brilliant and the game play wonderful. I play on Xbox360 but have seen the game on Wii, even better. There is an added bonus in that game play is far more relevant to modern society in that you operate as SAS and USMC soldiers on various missions against Islamic extremists and Russian Nationalists. I myself am not a gamer but am a huge fan of the Call of Duty series. Perfect gift for an 11 year old who enjoys first person shooters.
