Is the guitar from guitar hero 3 for wii compatible with aerosmith? And vice versa?

I am thinking of buying aerosmith but need another guitar controller I bought the guitar hero 3 bundle and have the guitar controller from that but I was wondering if it's compatible? Is it?

1. yes because I have tried it and it works. They are the same controller, the only difference is that GHA's controller has a red faceplate and has the aerosmith design on it.

4. Yes because I know A friend that did it and because its the same guitar except a different collor and tit also need a wiimote
5. Yes the controller definitely works, but the new aerosmith game is terrible. Not entertaining what so ever.
