What controller works best on Wii games?
I am away to purchase a Wii points card for buying games on-line through the Wii. I fancy some old school Mario games. Could someone tell me if i should purchase a new controller for this type of game and if so what kind?

- You should be right with a wiimote and a nunchuk, but you can by classic nintendo controllers especially for old arcade style games like mario. hoped this helped.
- i use gamecube and works fine but alot of people say the classic is better i say you should get classic because all the old games you can download are compatible with them
- It depends on the game - generally speaking the Classic Controller is the best overall bet, although I recall seeing (somewhere!) that controllers were being sold that looked liked, for example, a SNES controller, NES controller, etc yet which were designed for use with the Wii and its Virtual Console games.

- It depends on the game. The wii controller is compatible with some games, but not many. A gamecube controller is another option and is compatible with almost all vc games. However, I would buy a classic controller since it is compatible with all vc games. This will come in handy if you decide later on to get additional games.

- If you are talking about Virtual Console games, know that the Wiimote DOES NOT work for any VC games made for the SNES or the N64 (because it does not have enough buttons). If you download any of these games, you will need the Classic Controller or the GameCube Controller.
