Is there a way to restrict which songs my kids can play in Wii Guitar Hero 3 or Wii Rock Band?
Is there hardware or software I can use that can lock out songs that I consider inappropriate for my young kids yet allows them to play the other songs?

- im sorry but theres no way Unless, you mod your wii, there is about a 50 50 chance of frying your wii And you cant update your wii or the mod card wont work. When you mod your wii, you can add songs and remove songs and stuff like that. Why would you want to restrict songs anyway? Its not like they are swearing in them....
- I don't think so unfortunately, not officially anyway. There might be some unofficial companies offering that sort of thing though. I'll have a gander through the 'net in a second. ETA: nothing through any of the unofficial channels. I think all that you're left with is a) modding your wii (like that guy said) or b) supervising while they play. I'd definitely not recommend modding your wii though, I think the chances of your Wii dying permanantly is actually higher than 50/50. In all fairness, the other option isn't much better..
- Not at all... The songs they put on those games are "Radio Edits" usually and have all the profanity removed (the big ones anyway..) If you're that concerned, just don't let them play it.
- No. You can't restrict what they can & can't play. That's why the games are normally rated "T".
- Guitar Hero is my favorite game on my Wii.
- yeha i'm a Christian, and have problems with that. I purchased rock band for the wii, and it had some songs that were offensive. such as the band "the new pornographers" and all that. all you readers out there, don't make smart comments back to me. I could care less with what you have to say. but, no, there is no filter.
