Can Wii games be played in the Nintendo game cube also?

Can Wii games be played in the Nintendo game cube also? Is it compatible? I have heard something about it, but i'm unsure.

7. No. And where exactly do you plan on sticking the Wii disk? The Wii disk is the same size as a DVD. A GC disk is the size of a mini-DVD.
