I plan on buying Wii for my 12 yr old daughter. What do you suggest I buy for starters?
Also, where is the best place and maybe the cheaper place to buy Wii equipment and games?

- Well, The Wii is the same everywhere. But I see better deals for Wii games at Gamecrazy Also, get a Wii points card or two, used to download classic game or all brand new games Here is a list of what she will probably like Super Smash Bros. Brawl Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Super Mario Galaxy Metroid Prime 3: Corruption The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Okami Mario Kart Wii Zack and Wiki Boom Blox If she likes Zombie games and you would allow her to play them, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil umbrella Chronicles would be good choices. Also, a wii remote charger will save money on batteries
- get something that has sports like wii sports then get mario kart b/c it fun to play
- You need to buy the Wii console which should cost $249.99(At all retailer and the cheapest you'll get it) and it comes with The Wii -The sensor bar -1 Wii Remote -1 Nunchuk -1 copy of Wii Sports -Standard-definition video cables -The power cord -A stand for the Wii -A stand for the sensor bar -A rubber grip and two AA batteries for the Wii Remote And your going to need to buy more(for more players) Wii Remots which cost $39.99 each and more Nunchuk(for more players) which cost $19.99 each And I highly recommend these games -Mario Kart Wii -Super Smash Bros. Brawl -Bloom Blox -Mario Party 8 -The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess
- I suggest- Accessories 1 nunchuk (in addition to the one that comes packaged with the Wii itself) 1 Wii remote (in addition) 1 or 2 Wii Points Cards Games Mario Party 8 Super Paper Mario Mario Kart: Wii Mario Strikers: Charged The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Great game, but note it is rated T for Teen for animated blood (purplish stuff, nothing red) and violence, my sister who is 8 years old was scared by some of the more scary moments in the game) If she in to these type of things then I know there is also a Hannah Montana game out for Wii, and also some upcoming cheerleading games. A game coming out in the future she would probably like is Animal Crossing: City Folk. Don't forget that the Wii is backwards compatible with the Nintendo Gamecube, which means that all Gamecube accessories and games can be used on the Wii. As for a place to buy them, well, I bought my Wii at Game Crazy, and I've bought most of my games in the past from Gamestop. Both have reasonable prices in my opinion.
- If you want it cheap, you're going to have to get it at a retail store as opposed to ebay or something like that. As for the price of equipment and games, most places sell video game accessories for the same price, so it doesnt really matter where. However, if you go to Gamestop, you may be able to pick up some used games and accessories at a discounted price.
- Mario Kart Wii, Super Paper Mario, Wii Play, Mario Party 8, and Super Mario Galaxy.
- To answer your last question first, you'll have to shop around to find the best price. Most places usually have similar prices for new equipment. For suggestions, I'll split this into equipment & games. EQUIPMENT (extra) * 1 Wiimote * 1 Nunchuck add-on Optional, but suggested if you're taking your Wii online * 1-2 Classic Controller add-on(s) * 1-2 2000 Wii Points card(s) Note: Walmart has a 2000 Wii Points card + Classic Controller cover for $15... which is $5 less than the price of the 2000 Wii Points Card. Games * Wii Play (Comes will a Wiimote) * Mario Kart Wii * Zack & Wiki * Boom Blox Virtual Console / WiiWare Games (Wii Pts. Required) * Kirby's Adventures (NES VC, 500 pts) * Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES VC, 500 pts) * Block Breaker Deluxe (WiiWare, 800 pts) * Bubble Bobble (NES VC, 500 pts) * Kirby 64 (N64 VC, 1000 pts) * Bomberman '93 (TG-16 VC, 600 pts) Note: Wii Points usually run at the rate of 100 pts per $1.00 Upcoming game suggestions * Animal Crossing: City Folk (mid-Nov., 2008) * Bomberman Blast (Date unknown) That's all I can give you for now... It's a bit difficult for me to suggest games without knowing your daughter's gaming preferences.
- i got a bargin on my wii on ebay try there
- When I first got my Wii (I was 13), I played Super Mario Galaxy and it was great for a beginner like me, it sets you up for later, more complicated games like Super Paper Mario so I'd recommend Super Mario Galaxy to a beginner. Online is the best place to get Wii equipment cheap, I'd try either Amazon or Ebay.
- i'd get mario kart wii if i was in your position, its a really simple game based mostly on luck so skills dont really apply here making it good for beginners. go for ebay, they usually have cheap things but make sure you buy from power sellers (more trustworthy) !
- Don't go all out at the beginning.. And be careful because Wii can have super fun games like Mario Cart, but it has some real sucky games too. * NUNCHUCK is needed for sure * Wheel (if game requires it) * Mario Party is good for a youngin But we went all out and spent $$ on everything and i haven't touched the thing in over a month because the games are expensive and the good ones are always sold OUTT!!
