Do games bought in America for the Nintendo Wii work on a Wii console from the UK?
Thanks in advance. Just a small question really, I am going to buy a Nintendo Wii from here in England to give to my fiance in the USA, I am just curious in knowing if the games bought from USA work on the Wii console if it was purchased in the UK.

- No they don't. But you can get them to work if you buy a "free-loader". It's an unofficial kind of "hack" if you like that removes the regional lock. - Unfortunately the Wii is region locked so games from a different region; ie. region 1 - north America, won't work on a console from region 2 and vice versa, although they are essentially the same game
