Why are developers and X-play disrespecting The Wii console?
The Wii has more sales but developers don't put enough effort in to Wii games. Madden and Quantom of Solace the reason those games got bad reviews is because developers spend so much time on the 360 and PS3 version and less time on the Wii version. Multiplatform games have never gotten great reviews on the Wii. X-play always talk about Sony and Microsoft every day, week and month while they rarely review Wii games and rarely talk about the Wii and Nintendo. At the TGS 08 they said that NOMH 2 should be on the 360 and PS3 because the Wii is for younger audience and that's not true because the Wii is for all ages not just for kids because it would be waste of money to make a console just for kids. People say that X-play is for all gamers and that's not true because all they talk is Sony, Microsoft and PC and talk about games for those consoles. The reason that the Wii has games that have bad reviews is because developers spend all their time on the 360 and PS3 versions and they give the Wii version some features and expect people to buy it and that's stupid

- Stop blaming the developers and X-Play. Most of the people that bought the Wii are nothing more than casual gamers. They bought the Wii on a whim or they want it because everyone has it. Why should developers waste their time or money to make games for a system that's primarily owned by casual gamers. Casual gamers do not buy a lot of games. They buy maybe 1 or 2 games a year. The Wii is inferior to the PS3 and 360, so don't expect developers to make miracles. Asking them to put MGS 4 on the Wii is like asking them to make God of War on the Atari 2600. It's just not possible. If you want developers to make better games for the Wii, tell Nintendo to include better hardware. Another problem is that Nintendo doesn't have any quality control. Any company that has the money can make a game for the Wii. Even if the game sucks, they can make it because Nintendo gave developers the green light to do whatever they want. That's why the Wii has so many crappy games.
- yeah wii has alot of sales because of the casual audience it opened up to - little kids to old people can play the wii and have some simple fun. but generally, the hardcore gaming crowd uses xbox and ps3 because of online play and the best graphics and hardware. sports especially - live, madden, and 2k series are competetively played on xbox 360, havent you seen madden nation? plus all the shooters and such on mlg such as halo 3, gears of war, rainbow six, etc. etc. wii is simply not meant for those kinds of games and competetive play really, it's about the novelty of motion controlling which honestly gets old after a while. wii is a ton of fun but can't keep up with the hardcore basically in terms of graphics, online play and CONTROL. standard controls on xbox 360 and ps3 are far better than using nunchuk and wiimote, as fun as it might be.
- If you don't like what X-Play shows than dont watch it
- Is this a rant or a question? They aren't disrespecting the wii console. Actually i'm having a hard time understanding how you can disrespect a nonliving object. but besides that, there is such a thing called money. And money is what makes the world go round. Do you think the creators of MGS4 or gears 2 care about us gamers? quite possibly, but it's about the money. dinero. pesos. euros. yen, pebbles and leaves. what name you. It's all about the money. And the reason why these casual games keep popping up is simple. people buy them. the casual gamers. If people buy games like pajama sam don't fear the dark, there going to make more of them. why would they spend all this money making a fantastic game when they know they can just throw a game together that's just a piece of sh+t, and expet people to buy it.
