do you have to know how to read music/play the guitar to play the Guitar Hero video games (pc, ps, wii, xbox)?
am very interested in this game, but i don't know how to read music or how to play any instruments. is the game set up so that i can play it without knowing how to do so? if so, is there any one easier than the others?

- You do not need to know how to read music or play guitar to play. The guitar has 5 buttons on it, each a different color. The screen will scroll the colors you need to push. You just need to not be color blind and some hand eye coordination.
- I have been playing the saxophone for 3 years. And i just started the guitar 2 months ago. It will help you do better if you have background knowledge of reading music but it is not really necessary to play guitar hero.
- no, cuz I heard that people who can actually play the guitar have trouble playing Guitar Hero.
