Why do people think they need 1080i resolution to play video games? I think the Wii graphics are just fine.?
480i should be good enough. The picture on a DVD is realistic enough. Most people won't even use more than their composite cables. Has anyone used the composite cables yet? is there a substantial different on regular tv with component inputs?

- People want to see things that are more realistic, and the realism makes the game more interactive. Isn't the point of video games is to get away from the real world and play in an imaginary world? Also, as the worlds gets bigger and bigger and more and more detailed, with a 480i TV, you can't see everything, but with a 1080i HD TV, you can see the little details that you might miss with a regular TV.
