Wii Games - What?, Why?, Pros/Cons?

I admit I've been getting tired of my Wii lately. I liked Mario Strikers Charged but it gets boring when it's just me and playing after a while. I didn't like Zelda (WHAT?!)... and I watched a friend play Metroid but I didn't like it as well (I know, WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? Just kidding.). I love SSBM and I'm waiting patiently for SSBB. I have mostly mini-games for the Wii. I've got Wii Sports, Wii Play, Brain Academy: Wii Degree, Zelda Twilight Princess, Mario Strikers Charged and Prince of Persia. I used to play PS2. I like RPGs, Shooting games and games such as SSBM. I'm starting to regret buying a Wii because I don't use it much. I don't want to buy a new game and not play it. I was thinking whether I should buy Super Mario Galaxy. What are the pros and cons of the game? Here is the whole list of games I thought I might be interested in: Super Mario Galaxy Battalion Wars 2 Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 to be continued... IMMEDIATELY (Simpsons) The Simpsons Game Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Definitely buying this one) SSX Blur Spyro: The Eternal Night Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (Depends on how it works, I loved Tony Hawk games on the PS2 and I have good sentiments to how the Wii Remote works.) Fire Emblem Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (I'd really like to know more about this one, I have almost no clue.) Dude, I have friends and we all get tired and play SSBM. Don't just start assuming anything. I understand that the Wii is best when you play it with friends. Sorry but PS3 costs too much for me :( Renting, I'll try that but I can't rent all these games. I'm pretty sure I won't buy all these games, I'm just looking for one I'd like best. Other Games: I thought GH3 was pretty awesome as well. I tried it too. Tried Mario Party 8 by borrowing from friend. Didn't like it very much. Manhunt 2 (I'd like to try it.) Metal Slug Anthology (?) Sports? NBA Live 08 Madden NFL 08 Simulation? MySims Sims 2 Pets Sims 2 Castaway

  7. I have Galaxy and I like it. He can do a lot of cool things but I guess it's pretty similar to the 64 version. If I were you, I would try Guitar Hero. I love that freakin' game and it just came out for the Wii. Otherwise I don't have many games for it. I play my other consoles more.
  8. im not sure about the other games. But battalion wars 2 is good. There are down sides for it such as The main story is a bit short. Online people leave almost all the time Other than that its a decent game
  9. Why not get a Playstation 3? The Playstation 3 will allow you to interact just like you can with the Wii very soon. The Playstation 3 eyetoy is due out soon which will allow you to interact in ways the Wii cannot! Also the PS3 has more games, great online play, and of corse better graphics (Dont forget the bluray compatibility.) I recently got the Mario party for the wii and I really liked it. we also have a carnival game one (it is what it sound like, just random ol' fashion carnival games) but I'm not sure you would particularly enjoy that. ( and the controls don't always work and it makes me MAD and I want ot kill my wii) ...There is a game called ... Wario's dance craze... or something like that, and you can't get more random than that, and it is n awesome :D I don't have any real fighting games (yet) though, so I can't be any more help until maybe after Christmas... If I don't get any I'm buying them!

  13. Super Mario Galaxy: A game with Mario in space defying gravity as it says in the IGN review, very good by the looks of it and given an overall rating of 9.7/10! Battalion Wars 2: War is still fun. The motto given to the game by a reviewer, very similar to Battalion wars in gameplay for all those who enjoyed the gameplay of the first we be pleased to know, and very dissimilar in its storyline a brand new storyline in fact, given an overall 8.0/10! Madal of Honour Heroes 2: Not the best game to buy is the impression in page 1 of the review of Medal of honur, with moments of greatness throughout the game. Although the rather dim starting review its lightens up with the enjoyment of controlling a first-person shooter with the marvellous wii remote! given an overall 8.4/10!

Guitar hero 3 is the best game by far i've played on the wii, but i dont have most of the major games, but that game is almost infinitely replayable if you have an internet connection, other than that i'd research games before buying, if you have itunes, look for the Xplay podcast from G4, they have game reviews on that, and if your still in doubt, rent, go to a rental store or try gamefly. And if you fell like getting some great classic games, the wii shop channel is the place to go

  16. Concerning Mario Galaxy, you should really buy it. I have not played it myself, but the vids look awesome (look in gametrailers.com) and everyone that I know that owns the game think its the best they have. Even if you are not a Mario fan, its a must-have. IGN gave it an "Incredible" classification (9.7/10). It was also chosen as an Editor's Choice, which means that the guys at IGN loved it. Battalion Wars is also great. Going through each of the missions may be a bit easy, but getting high scores is a big challenge. And, even when you finish the 1 player mode, you can play in the internet. IGN gave it an "Impressive" classification (8/10) Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 is much better than its PSP version. It makes good use of the wii zapper, and the controls feel even better than the ones of metroid prime 3. It has a good story, and the graphics do look good. This game is mandatory for any wii gamer that likes FPS. IGN gave it a "Impressive" classification (8.4/10). Again, this is an Editor's Choice like Galaxy. Finally the Simpsons. This game has many funny video clips, and is funny itself. But, if you had to choose from one of this four games, this would not be an option. It is just a port from some other system, and it doesn't look very good on the wii. Also, the controls are not very good (meaning they suck). But, if you are a BIG fan of the series, you might consider seeing its IGN page to make a decision. Me? I'd rather buy any of the games above. So, I guess your best shots would be Mario Galaxy and/or Medal of Honor. Also, if you want to try something else, you should get WarioWare. Its not the best thing in the market, but it is so much fun when you play with friends. And, you can buy it for $20 instead of the normal $50.
  17. If you don't like the Wii that's absolutely ok because everybody has a different taste. Of course, you only will get the real fun out of the Wii if you play together with some friends. That's a totally different experience than playing on your own. However, if you want to get rid of your Wii now is the best time to sell it.   18. if u take the time to look at some future releases for the wii and games that have recently come out, lik super mario galaxies or guitar hero three, u find billions of reasons to keep the wii my friend felt the same way as u and i said the same thing nd he loves his wii lik the day he got it
