Playing the WII system information.?
Hello,, I am new to the WII system and just have a few questions. Right now I only have the WII sports and Mario Party 8 When playing Mario party 8 you get cards after playing each game .. I guess you can spend these at the carnival. Several of the game characters are greyed out. How can I activate them? Is there anything that I should know about the WII that might help? Shortcuts, cheats, tricks? Thank you Will

In doing so, all possible shortcuts, cheats, and tricks have been pretty much abolished due to the already gamer-friendly interface. A valuable tip that one can offer you would be to attempt to update your Wii's firmware via WiiConnect24 every so often. As for your Mario Party 8 problem, simply play through the game some more in order to unlock the secret characters (The ones who are grayed out). Once the story is beaten, the characters will be playable. I hope that this has helped you.
- Hi Will, I have had Wii since August. I love it. I play everything but boxing almost everyday....even with my three year old little girl. She has bowled a 203. I don't have Mario so I cannot give you any info on that. I don't know of any shortcuts or tricks. You activate characters by building them yourselves. On the Wii menu, On the firsr Wii menu, you will see Wii Sports. Next to that is Mii. That is where you build characters. Some of the most fun we have had is inviting people over and we build their characters as close to what they look like as possible. After hitting start, go to the third wheel down on the left.
