Do you need to use a Wii guitar to play Guitar hero 3 for Wii, or can you play using the nunchuk and wiimote?

I keep finding sites telling me you need to use a wii guitar to play guitar hero III for wii. They don't tell me anything about using the nunchuk and wii remote separately.

  1. You're probably going to need the guitar. The PS2, PS3, and 360 versions will allow you to play with regular controllers, but those controllers have a lot more buttons than the Wii-mote and Nunchuk do...BUT I don't know for sure, I'm just taking my best educated guess. Hope this helps, have fun!! (October 28th, w00t!!) ~Scottie
  2. You will be playing Guitar Hero III on the Wii using the Wii-mote with a guitar shell. The game will come with a guitar which has a space for plugging the wii-mote in. Once the wii-mote is in, the guitar will function as all the other guitars on other systems with some bonus features. Force feedback will be stronger and when you hit a bad note, the wii-mote will make a noise indicating the error. The link should have more pics to actually see it.
  3. k i know the answer..... u have to get the guitar cuz u put the wiimote into the guitar to play...... im going to get it in like 3 minutes.... WOOT WOOT
  4. if they don't mention using the nun chuck then it probably wont include a nun chuck
  5. well when you get the game it comes with the guitar shell, but if you want another wii palyer to play you need just the wii remote you use it for the game by just using the 1 2 a and b buttons and the right part of the d pad
