Is it possible to buy Wii points from the Wii Shop Channel in increments less than 2000?
Hi, I used to have a wireless router however a while ago I switched to a wired one. I bought my Wii back in January and have wanted to get the internet channel. Since I don't have Wireless internet anymore, I need to go out and buy the wired wii internet adapter which I am willing to spend the 30 dollars on. I want to get the Opera internet browsing channel and I am not interested in downloading games and such, I just want the internet browsing channel, which I know costs 500 Wii Points. However, in stores the Wii points are only available in increments of 2000, and I don't want to have to buy 2000 wii points, only to spend 500 of them and have those other 15 bucks go down the drain. So I was wondering, when I buy Wii points off the Wii shop channel's "Add Wii Points" feature, do I have to buy them in increments of 2000, or is possible to buy less than that (remember, off the wii internet, not in stores)? Thank you everyone that responds :)

- They're available in increments of 1000 points, or $10.
- the points don't go to waste, they stay in your account, and you can use them later. There will be other channels to download. ps, if you had downloaded the internet channel back when you had a wireless router, then it would have been free. :P

- You can also buy wii points online with your credit card. When you enter the wii shop channel just click on "Add Wii Points." If you then select "Buy Wii Points with a Credit Card," you should then be able to select the amount of points that you would like to purchase. This way you don't have to put any money to waste for points that you won't use or don't want to buy.
- No there isn't any other way. However, if buy the browser for 500, the rest of your points won't go to waist if you spend them on Virtual Console games(that are good). Believe me, those VC games are a life saver to a mediocre library of games that is out for the Wii and that will be out until next year. You aren't going to be buying anything until Metroid or Super Mario Galaxy(believe me, there is nothing else), so spend your time waiting for those games by playing their predecessors on the virtual console. It is great if sold your old systems but still have games to play. The selection isn't really massive yet, but their are enough hit games to last until the next GOOD Wii game comes out, which if you don't count Metriod, will be in November. Also, on the Wii store, you can buy 1000 points for 10 dollars and you won't have to waist THAT much money. Just spend the rest on Super Mario Bros. for the NES.
