Can anyone help me on Wii Mario Kart unlocking characters?

Can someone help me how to unlock Diddy Kong and Funky Kong in Wii mario Kart and what stadiums will i have to play?

1. Diddy kong: Win the 50cc Lightning cup. Funky kong: Unlock 4 expert staff ghost data records in Time Trial mode.
2. If you get one star in each cup, and unlock all the fast staff Time Trial ghosts, you'll have every character/vehicle unlocked.
