how do you get a really fast start on wii mario kart?

I have done it before on wii mario kart but i don't know how i did it, i know you have to do it right before the race starts but is it on the 3rd light or right before you start? just wondering?? thanks

1. hold down gas button at 2 seconds on count down.
2. Press the accellerate button as the "2" begins to fade away at the countdown. It'll take some practice before you can nail it every time.
3. Hold down the gas button when it reaches 2. Don't be suprised if they get a better start. It is just because their carts have better acceloration.
4. Hold the button for accelerate just AFTER the 2 in the countdown before a race shows up. So, 3...2.(now!)..1...GO Don't press it when it's two, or else you'll get a false start. The closer you can time it to when the 2 starts to fade from the screen, the stronger your boost.
5. I have both! 1. At the start hold 2 (accelerate) right when the number 2 starts fading away. 2. Say you're on... Sherbert Land or that one Donkey Kong place from N64, you fall off the edge. As always you are dropped back to the race track. RIGHT WHEN YOU HIT THE GROUND press 2. (accelerate)
