Can downloaded gamecube games be played on the wii without a mod chip?

The question asks it all. And what are some sites for itif you can?

3. i think so if you download a game online on an sd card, then put that in your wii and install the game that way or get the homebrew channel for that you need an sd card and a copy of twilight princess (or borrow from ur friends) and check youtube for that thats what i did
