Why do Wii games get such bad reviews? I really want to buy a Nintendo Wii someday soon, but I'm really shocked that almost every game that comes out for the Wii gets very bad reviews on sites like gamespot.com. It seems like the only games that do well are Nintendo/Mario themed games.......why aren't there better games coming out for this console? With the innovative controls, there should be tons of fantastic sports games out for this machine already.....boxing, baseball, bowling...more so than just what's offered with Wii Sports. I'm getting hesistant on buying the system now especially if game developers aren't going to give it the proper support.

What are some Good Wii Games? My nephew finally convinced me to buy a Nintendo Wii. We are going to buy it this afternoon. Other than WiiPlay, what are some good games with good reviews and solid gameplay. I am in my 50's and WiiFit is already on our list for my mother (for her balance). Why does the Wii have the most games that gotten bad reviews? I think the reason is because developers aren't spending much time on it to make it a game. Most of the games that gotten bad reviews are family games and casual and despite that developers are still putting games out there and I just don't get it. The PS3 and 360 have games that gotten great reviews because their developers spend a lot of time on it to make the game a must have while the Wii developers aren't putting enough effort to their games a must have. Every game should be able to use the Classic controller like in wrestling games and football. I wish the Wii version of Madden and Wrestling were made by Wii only developers that want to make the Wii version a great game because EA, THQ and Midway spend all their time on the 360 and PS3 versions. Developers are making the Wii boring to play if you played for than a year. I like the Wii version of COD 5 and the new Tomb Raider game. The Wii needs a balance of games for the hardcore and family games and casual. 50% of games made for the Wii hardcore gamers and the other 50% are for casual and family friendly gamers and if Nintendo did that then everyone would be happy and no one would be undeserved

Do you wish the Wii would have great games that would come out this year or next year if your a hardcore gamer? Most of the Wii games are too casual, family friendly and always a stripped down version of the 360 and PS3 version of games. I wish had Madden 2010 for the Wii would have great features like the 360 and Ps3 version. In Madden 09 all play the great feature is call your shots while the other features are too childish and to easy they don't try to make the Wii version just as great as the 360 and PS3 version. All play is making sports games too easy. I WISH NINTENDO WOULD MAKE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE TOKYO GAME SHOW IN OCTOBER. On X-play they always talk the 360 and Ps3 and their games the DS has more games reviewed than the Wii. I wish the Wii was named the Revolution. Revolution is a better name than the Wii. What are the current best Wii games? What are the best current Wii games? I know Sonic and the Secret Rings and Super Mario Strikers are good, not to mention Zelda, sheesh, they don't stop raving about that one, but what are games are good? All the others seem to get bad reviews. All the good ones like Super Smash Bros, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, and Lego Star Wars Trilogy are all coming out later. I just want to get a few before then. Any suggestions? I don't have Diamond or Pearl, or a DS for that matter (the DS had a little accident with my little brother T.T), so please don't mention PBR.

Which top-rated Wii games should I buy? Okay, so I'm not totally clueless. I got my Wii for Christmas, and with it I received Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Loved it. I also know how to read game reviews, which I have been doing. Only, it's a lot harder than I thought, when you don't really know if you'd like the game or not. I don't want to waste my money. I like games that are Zelda based, but when I tried finding reviews, there are so many to choose from! I was thinking Ocarina of Time...is this a good pair for TP? Anyways, does anyone know of the best games out there, the ones that got the BEST ratings, and are fun for girls? This means no football or movie-based franchise games. Some I had in mind were things like Mario games (there are tons), Zelda games, maybe The BIGS, and such. Are these good choices? Recommendations are welcome too. I wanted to get the Harry Potter game, but I read that it did mediocre. Can anyone tell me firsthand what it's like? Thanks. Oh, yeah, and when I said 'Zelda Based' I meant like, it's a version of Legend of Zelda. I also like Mario based, which is what you meant, but... Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past. These three are the most interesting to me, and got the most decent ratings out of all the Zelda games. I already own (and nearly finished) TP, so... should I continue with the trend?
Wii reviews for older gamers? Most of the game reviews I've found seem to be targeting children. I know the Wii is for casual gamers and kids but many adults play them too. As a senior gamer I liked Wii sports, Resident Evil 4, and House of the dead 2 & 3. I hated Zelda although I liked previous Zelda games. This one has no action, too many cut scenes and a super annoying sidekick. SSBB is a button masher which I generally don't like. These two games got stellar reviews but I can't bear to play them. So anyway where can I find out what the adults are playing? Maybe a forum?
Are there any exciting Wii games coming out in November and December? As a 18 year old Wii owner,When I watch X-Play I see is 360 news, PS3 news, 360 and Ps3 specials and I don't see or hear anything about Nintendo or the Wii, I don't see Wii specials or Wii hands on games. They talk about about falls biggest games and all of them are 360 and PS3 games. I feel like like X-play is for PC gamers, 360 gamers and PS3 gamers because all they talk about is games for those platforms. The Wii has the most sales but no one treats it with respect. TGS 08 was supposed be about Nintendo and it was not to be, it was about the 360 and PS3. The only great game that came out this year and got 5 out of 5 was Super Smash Brothers Brawl and i played and it was worth spending $50. Right now all you see in stores are lame, boring family friendly games and kiddy titles. I have Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Kart Wii, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, Residen Evil The Umbrella Chronicles and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I played Madden on my Gamecube and it was great and Wii version of Madden has become too easy and too simple.The only great thing Nintendo announced was the DSI. Every year and month the 360 and PS3 have always great games while the Wii has boring childish games.What's the point of watching X-Play if all they talked about is games for the PC, 360 and PS3. Gametrailers TV does the same thing. I wish Madden 2010 on the Wii lose the name all play and lose those cartoony graphics and add some features that makes Madden on the Wii worth buying.There's a Wii versions Call of duty 5, Quanto of Solace and Spider-Man Web of Shadows but no one knows if they are going to be great because games are always stripped down and games that are stripped down always get bad reviews. If Wii HD was coming in 2011 then there will be less stripped down and the Wii would be a true next-gen console. The reason the Wii have more games that have bad reviews is the graphics. On the Wii game, Super Smash Bros Brawl, the reviews aren't good for a single player. Will my 7 year old still want to play this game if he has to play it alone? If not, what would be a good game for him? We just bought the wii and only have wii sports so far. I let him play up to T for Teen games so feel free to include those also.

Wii Reviews? I've noticed a real wide scatter among all the reviewers for Wii games- moreso than any other console, I believe- can anyone tell me why this is? Some games get between a 4 and an 8! Is it b/c the reviewers are "hardcore" and knocking the wii from the start? Is it b/c they just don't get the wii? Anyone with an opinion, please let me know- also, What are some games you've really enjoyed that maybe didn't score so high on the reviewer's sites? thanks!

How come there are not that many M rated games or rated T games on the Wii console? I am a 18 year old Nintendo gamer and i have been buying and playing Nintendo from the N64, The Gamecube and the Wii and right when i Visited ign.com and saw the release dates for wii games all i saw are lame boring crappy kid games and family plus casual games and those games are not worth $50. Rated M games and Rated T games always get great reviews. I have SSMB, The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, RE4 wii edition, Metroid prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii and they are greats that got fantastic reviews but rihgt now there are not Wii games worth $50. The Wii is supposed to revolutionized gameing but right it is the current next-gen with the lamest games of all 3 consoles. The Wii is meant for eveyone and just younger audiences and casual gamers. Nintendo E3 conferences are so lame and boring and when i watch x-play i wanted too hear about Nintendo and the Wii and i don't hear or see anything about the wii. They always talk about games for the 360 and PS3 while they show the Wii with disrespect. Alot of gamer reviews say that without your own type of pokemon to use it gets boring and its harder to beat other pokemon trainers online with wi-fi connection. The Fan-boys, who's overly eccentric now? Why all the anti-wii if people perfer the Wii? Before the release, every one said the only people who would buy the Wii are the die-hard geeky nintendo fan-boys. Well It's been released, and so far all the Parents, New gamers, younger kids, teens, adults, along with the Nintendo fans perfer the Wii. It seems to me the only people here who recommned the PS3, and the even smaller group, Xbox 360, are the die hard geeky msoft/sony fan-boys. Which bring me to my first questions, If the 360 where released along with the others (with out the major head start) do you really think it would have done as well? And two, for those who say they aren't geeky fanboys, can you give me any reasons why the ps3/360 are better (other than graphics, since who gives a dang how it looks if it ain't fun, and specific games, since thats what a GF looks for) Finally, to my astonishment when I read the January GamePro mag, I was surprised to only find two commercials for wii games, and 0 Wii reviews. Why do you think they still don't show nintindo E stuff? You said:yes the 360 would have won because it has better: graphics, {see original post} online multiplayer, {so does wii} CONTROLERS (wii controlers r stupid, cough,cough) {and less complicated, attracting a wider audiance} and it has games like halo 3(ROCK ON) {see original post}coming out, so that is why the 360 is better. The wii is just plain stupid to the max level because it was built for little mario and Kirby(DIE,DIE,DIE) fans who dont want to get exposed to "violence" {yeah, games like red steel aren't violent} so the ps3 is better there, but 360 is still the best for your money's worth. As to your mario and kirby comment, it's called appealing to a wide variaty of customers. Wii has exiting games, along with E games like that, where as the 360 focuses on on genre, with tons of FPSs, the E games being sports.
Guys today I'm getting a new Wii game which one should I get SSX Blur or Sonic and the secret rings? I am a long time sonic fan I've always loved sonic games ever since Sonic the hedgehog on the Sega Genises. I've watched many reviews on the game and they all say that this is by far the best 3D sonic game so far. I really liked the Sonic adventure games a lot so a game that they say is the best 3d sonic game so far I think I'd really like a lot. Also I've heard it is really challenging I love that in a video game because it means I get to play it longer. SSX blur is also a game I'd really love to have. I've bought all the other SSX games and I loved them all. SSX Blur looks like it'd be even betterthan the other SSX games. I just don't like the fact it has no online play : (. I'm not sure which one to get because I want both... I can only get one though. Help me out here give me an answer people.

The games i have are Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, RE4, Resident Evil The umbrella chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and those games were worth $50. I wish Nintendo would making casual games and family games and make more Hardcore games

Looking for wii games? I think the actually wii in itself is amazing as far as technology goes.. I am however so far not overly impressed by the games. I love wii sports but they are obivously mini games... I got very addicted to the tennis so bought the sonic tennis game. This however is no where near as good and doesnt seem to be as reactive. I read lots of rave reviews about mario galaxy... and was utterly disappointed at there version of a 2 player game (what second player would possibly enjoy this??) and as a game was very boring... Wii play - good for the remote but games way too short... cars racing... far too easy... Bully and namco museum yet to be played... Could anybody suggest some good games? Also I have been looking at the online games sites and am far from impressed with these.. Does anybody know of any good ones?

Do I need to Buy a Argon Wii ModChip inorder to play Burned Games? ? I have a D2C Wii and was wondering if I needed a Chip in order to play Burned ISO WII games on my Wii? I heard you could SoftMod with Zelda. But that seems to good to be true. So my question, should I buy the Argon or the Infectus Mod-ship? Also, I’m not confident on Soldering such small pins, so should I invest in the Wii Chip-clip? Which Wii baseball game is better-The BIGS or MLB Power Pros? Both seem like good games and have gotten similar reviews! I can't decide. I liked MLB Slugfest and the Bigs seems to be like that game. Also, how do you hit the ball in the Bigs? Do you get to swing the Wii Remote or do you press a button? But Power Pros seems fun and has gotten good reviews also.
Which Wii games will work with the Nyko Wii Perfect Shot Gun? You have to hit the A button to fire.. not so great for a gun controller.. I want games where you can use the trigger to fire with minimal use of the buttons on the face of the Wiimote.. the gun controller has a nunchuk pass through so any controls requiring that are fine unless they require the nunchuk to be attached to the Wiimote like with the Wii Zapper.. Has anyone got a review or opinion on the Brunswick bowling game for the Wii? Ive got the bowling game on Wii sports which i reckon is good but i spotted the Brunswick game and was wondering if it worth getting and if its any better than the sports bowling, cheers. PS/ when you bowl do you get a view from behind the bowler as in Wii sports bowling or am i right in thinking its a side view of the bowler which would surely take away the whole fun and realism of 'being' at the alley?!!?

Do you have to use the Wii nunchuck or does Nintendo have a standard controller? I'm looking into buying a Wii, but I'm afraid that with some games I may not want to use the whole motion sensor thing. I realize that this is the whole big deal with the Wii, but in some previews / reviews that I've read, it sounds like so much work that it wouldn't be any fun. Need some info about Nintendo Wii and Boogie game? We have just bought the Wii and I just saw the Boogie game advertised. It has been given good and bad reviews but I think it is something my kids will get in to. Xbox 360 or Wii? I kinda have a dilemma going on here, I don't know whether to get a Wii or a 360. I have been looking forward to getting a Wii for a while, but then I played Gears of War. It blew me away. Also, now my buddy got a 360 and Gears, so the thought of playing Xbox Live with a couple of friends (that I know in real life) is very appealing. The problem here is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, I love Zelda games and judging from reviews, this game might match Ocarina of Time in greatness. Although I really want to play Zelda, I just don't know. The other Wii games look fun, but the 360 already has an established library, since it has been out for a year. The smart thing to do is get a 360, and get a Wii later, so it can get a library of good games. I know this, but it's freakin Zelda. It comes down to playing with friends on live, or playing Zelda. I can get a Wii for my Bday, but that will be in about 8 months. I want both systems, but am not sure a Wii just for Zelda is worth it. I forgot to put that- I don't think I could get one for Xmas, but there is a chance. I might be able to get a Wii for xmas, but wouldn't be able to get a 360 for it. A PS3 is out of the question, not enough good games, and the price is way too high.

which to buy wii or xbox 360? Do you think that game developers are getting lazy on making games for older systems specifically PS2? Ok im wondering what everybodies opinion on this.Ok I had my PS2 since launch and still play it alot and I recently gotta PS3.Im looking at alot of game reviews for PS2 now and it seems like game developers arent really trying to bring out great games for the PS2 still like Spiderman 3 was terrible on PS2 and even on PS3 actually but even Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam just pretty much went downhill lol but besides Sony cuz they did a terrific job with God Of War 2,the 3rd party developers like Activision and EA seems like there giving up when I think they should actually focus on PS2 more right now at the moment cuz the most system people own and the number keeps growing is PS2 and they would make more developing more great games for the PS2 cuz most people will buy em cuz they ether dont have a PS3,Wii or 360 or that just because theres not really alot of games out worthy enough of payn $60 for right now cuz the only reason I gotta PS3 was for GT5 and GTA 4 basically so let me know?

Wii: Cabela's Big game and Dance Dance? I just got the Wii yesterday. I got it for two reasons.1) I thought it would be great to have it aside my 360 and 2) my fiance REALLY wanted it. And amazinglyenough, I found it used for only $229.00 at a used game store 1min frommy apartment. I am considering buying one of two games for now. The first is Dance Dance Revolution. The second is the Cabela's Big Game Hunter. This depends on how accurate the dance pad is and how accurate the gameplay with the gun is. Any advice / reviews on either game? Thanks a ton in advance.

Is the wii letting us down? I have recently bought a copy of the ofiicial ninetndo magazine and they keep recommening games to me but im scared that they may have really akward controls and all the "hard core games" for the wii seem to get rubbish reviews! Recommend a game system: Wii, PS3 or XBox for returning gamer? Folks, I have not bought a game system since my Atari 2600 (no kidding). Whoever I ask for an opinion on what to get, I get the "zealot" answer for one of the three. To get an idea of what I like for my PC games: I play (or have enjoyed) Halo, Half Life 2, Titan Quest and their other types (Diablo, Dungeon Siege), Myth (not Myst) and am a 33 month member of the City of Heroes/Villains online system. The cost of the system will not be a major obstacle. Also, online gaming is not necessary, and I am not a fan of PvP (I hate getting creamed by folks!) So, knowing my gaming preferences, what would you suggest? What is the best airplane flying game for Nintendo Wii? I am looking for the best airplane flying/fighting game for Wii. It has to be out by the holidays as it is a gift. I've looked up reviews for Heatseeker and Blazing Angels. A March '07 review of Blazing Angels said it was the best game out at the time, but still left a lot to me desired. Does the Wii live up to its promise? I thought the Wii would be a great gaming system for my kids. I've never allowed them to have a play station or nintendo or any of those, thinking they are social and fitness killers. The Wii looks fun, and looks like it helps kids play actively while indoors.
