Can I play gamecube backups on my wii without a mod chip? any soft mods or exploits that could allow this? I want to play my gamecube backups on my pal region wii. I have no mod chip.
I installed my WII mod chip and my burnt games that i burned for backup wont work? Do i need to install anything else or is it not working because i installed the mod chip incorrectly
wii mod chip installed but cant play any backups? Right, i have installed a wii mod chip to play backups (only!!) of my orig games. But guess what... they dont work. Here, the price of a wii console (american ver) is around US$420. its way expensive then the time i bought mine (approx US$350). is it true that the price for wii console around the world rises?? The seller here said, its because the new wii console uses a new mod chip, so that it can play Mario Galaxy. Can a Wii Mod chip allow the ability to play American games on the Japanese Wii? Well, I couldn't find any Wii's in any stores. So, my parents have a friend who lives in Japan, and they wired the money to them to buy two Wii's: one for me, and one for a friend. But, they (more of my mom) didn't know that the Japanese Wii console couldn't play American games. And we can't read Japanese!! Could a wireless internet connection affect a mod chip in a Wii? My boyfriend bought a Wii and had a guy attach the mod chip to the motherboard of the Wii so he could play backed up games. He has been able to play backed up games for nearly two months now on his Wii without issue. Recenly, he took his Wii to his father's house while we were out of town. His father has a wireless internet connection. We played Mario Party 8 (a purchased disk, not backed up) for about an hour. Later, his brother-in-law tried playing a backed up disk of The Godfather. The Wii didn't read it or any other game we tried. NOW THE WII WON'T READ ANY DISKS AT ALL! Not even the official Nintendo games I have purchased. Could the wireless connection affected the Wii? Having backed up disks of games you have purchased is perfectly legal, so I don't see how Nintendo could have "busted" him via the internet. (He has tried the install disk for the mod chip several times, and didn't need it right after the mod chip was installed) What could it be? A bad chip? This was an older version of the system. He bought it off his friend from work. He tried the mod chip on a new one and didn't work. Now he has 2 bad Wiis. This has to be the most stupid thing he has EVER DONE!

It also can play burned Game cube Games. It can play normal games that you can buy from teh store. So its basicly an add on, not taking anything away from original Wii. Also its hard to install, many people tried but broke their Wii but not me =). I have a Japanese version of SSBB... and I have a mod chip (US Wii)? So I have a mod chip on a US Wii and I just got a Japanese SSBB. Apparently, it doesn't work because after the update it says Invalid system detected or something like that. I have to bet it's the update but at least all my other games still work. (I also have the dual news and weather channels). But I gotta ask, is it also the fact that I'm using a US Wii and not a Japan Wii that's causing the problem? Plus, if I buy an original US retail SSBB, will it work on my US modded Wii? The mod version and mod chip names are confusing, especially since I don't know which I have! PLS HELP!!! P.S., An original retail US version of Super Mario Galaxy definitely works!

Why is my Nintendo Wii black and white on the tv? I bought a mod chipped Wii from China. I tested it and played it on a PAL tv in China. I brought it back to Ireland (with a new voltage regulator) and plugged it into the PAL tv here. All games and Wii menus are now in black and white. SO i voided my warranty for my wii by getting a mod chip installed anyways now i read about brawl? Super Smash Bros. Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.) Just So happens my wii is one of em consles so yah now the warranty is voided and does anyone if its possible to send it toother professionals who can possibly fix the lens for me??????? I JUST WANT TO SMASHHHHHHHHHH ROFL XD

Wii mod and DVD Burners? I am a little bit confused. I am going to mod my Wii, and have my mod chip already to go. The thing that is concerning me is the dvd burners.
